Ingredients
1 bag tortilla chips
1 lb carne asada steak
2 cups shredded cheese blend
1 cup pico de gallo
1 avocado, diced or sliced
1 jalapeño, sliced
½ cup sour cream
¼ cup chopped cilantro
Lime wedges, for serving
Salt and pepper, to taste
Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet or oven-safe skillet with parchment paper if desired.
  2. Season and cook the carne asada steak in a skillet or on a grill over medium-high heat until cooked to your preferred doneness. Let rest for a few minutes, then slice into bite-sized pieces.
  3. Spread tortilla chips evenly onto the prepared baking sheet or skillet.
  4. Sprinkle half of the shredded cheese over the chips, followed by the cooked carne asada. Top with the remaining cheese.
  5. Bake for 10–15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  6. Remove from the oven and top with pico de gallo, avocado, jalapeños, sour cream, cilantro, and any additional toppings desired.
  7. Serve immediately with lime wedges on the side.
